Mississippi Cottage Antiques is located in historical Le Claire, Iowa. Le Claire was originally known as the home for several Mississippi river pilots and the birth place of Buffalo Bill Cody. The town received its Charter in 1834.

The shop itself is housed in a 1915 prairie home overlooking the Mississippi river. The house is 99% original with metal ceilings and beveled glass windows. It was built by William Buck of Scott County Iowa.

In 2007, 606 N. Cody was converted to Antique Shop which also included fine art and unique crafts. Two floors of the shop contain antique furniture, mission furniture, antique glass ware, many primitives, many other high end antiques, fine art and very unusual crafts.

Mississippi Cottage Antiques was founded so that visitors can discover long sought after treasures, locate and research historically intriguing items, and enjoy fine arts. The shop is located 1.9 miles from I-80 on US Highway 67 north in Le Claire, Iowa.  Hours are Tuesday through Saturday 10am – 6pm. Sundays and Mondays there 10am to 4pm.
